Difference to Death Road to Canada?

It's been a while since I played Deadly Days, but if I recall:
* Death Road to Canada is a road trip, constantly moving homage to something like Oregon Trail
* Deadly Days is centered around building a base and community while scavenging to survive.

*DRtC's action sequences have you directly control a survivor in a slightly beat'em'up fashion
* DD is, I believe, mouse driven tactics where you'll tell your survivors to go around somewhere.

* DRtC revolves heavily around random events during your trip, with narrative bits and skill checks
* DD is mostly (Correct me if I'm wrong) without many events, more focused around going out to scavenge hopefully more than you consume.

I return regularly for a run of DRtC, whereas I haven't returned to DD...however I did visit the discussion group because I was considering installing and having another go.
