But you reworked the lighting, right? It looks so super realistic....But maybe I'm just so impressed by such gorgeous graphics that I'm just imagining it's new.:-) But you reworked the lighting, right? It looks so super realistic... But maybe I'm just so impressed by such a graphic splendor that I just imagine it's new. :-) oh my god, and can it be that you're the height of the adjusted the camera??? I think before I always had a slight feeling of being so low to the ground, I don't have that anymore, it feels so perfect now, so normal and right. Or am I already hallucinating...:-))))
I would be happy if you enlighten me on which points I am wrong :-)
Midway branch was created to implement a new save system which was very experimental and required a lot of work to implement, I was asked by a few players to make this branch since I was spamming the main branch with minor patches each time I had improved the save system. After a few months Midway branch became so updated that it was difficult to just reintroduce everything to the Main branch without creating some kind of system that would allow me to use old saves from the main branch and adjust it to the Midway branch.
Fortunately, I was finally able to create this system and I decided that with the full release of 0.2.0 I will merge the Midway Branch with the Main Branch which will happen soon.
Everybody is able to play Penkura on Midway branch as it's open to the public for all that have Penkura in their steam library.
I just don't understand why the Ore Extractor has an inventory like my backpack.
Every building that has its own function, ore extractor, ore refinery, bio-recycler, T-1 Storage, and so on will have its own storage unit, that is not only for immersion but also for future system and automation. The player will be able to program bots to pick up items from different containers and buildings and use them in specific tasks set by the player. Thanks to that player base will look much more alive and natural, with bots and npc doing their tasks walking between buildings doing their chores.

I personally model everything using the camera from the game to make sure the scale and feel of the environment are always as correct as possible. And I'm using a few cinematography tricks to give illusions of distance and height. Takes time to properly implement but they should feel more natural.
If you or anyone have more questions about Midway or the future of Penkura always feel free to ask, I'm always happy to answer.
Beds are already in the game, you can build your own "home", it's located in your MAIN buildings, and it's called the Small Habitation Module (there will be more to come of course).
When all biomes are in the game, will it eventually be possible for me to create a complete base myself wherever I want?
There will be a lot of places where you will be able to place your main base, and there will be bots that will allow you to build a small base (wherever you want).
Trees are already being removed by C.A.T. If you put your building inside the rock or tree, it will represent itself with a holographic presentation of that building, C.A.T will fly over it and create the building, the moment the C.A.T starts materialization, all objects inside the materialization beam will dematerialize, that means that rocks, trees, flowers, you, it will all dissapear.
Oh, I could definitely mess around with that. When I'm low on nutrition/hydration I usually just empty my inventory and go jump off the cliff or find a bug to off me. Making the C.A.T. do the job could be quite amusing.
Edit: Moved my own text out of the quote box
One reviewer, who gave the game a negative rating, claimed to have explored the game in two hours....hilarious. I've been in the game for over 32 hours now and I never get bored and I keep discovering more and more great things and great details that make me happy, I must be doing something wrong.....:-)) There's so damn much to do without progressing through the storyline. I want to have explored everything down to the last detail, I want to understand every single function down to the last detail, I want to have every bot under absolute control, and I want to know every step inside and out. And when the next story content comes, I will start the game from the beginning and be able to experience everything with the necessary know-how. And I wouldn't have the desire to want any of this if the game wasn't so incredibly good.
Yes, trees are removed permanently.
Can I die at any time and be spawned without any consequences in my progress? That would be cool.
If you die your inventory will stay with the body, your map will show you the location of the body to recover your inventory, there will also be a signal beacon that will inform you with a sound where the body lies.
I disabled the mouse smoothing but allways when I start the game the mouse smoothing is ON again.
Thank you for the info, I will look into this right now.
Should not be that difficult to implement, I will add it to my to-do list and make it happen within next few days
