Penkura

So, how much is there?
The game launched into Early Access on Steam in 2018, but according to the one lone negative review there's barely two hours of content in it. Some other comments in the forum also seem to suggest that content is lacking.

How much is there to build, is it even necessary to build anything, how extensive are the building systems - I don't mind supporting a small dev team (two people?) working on a passion project, but at the end of the day there still needs to be something I'd enjoy playing.

Hey Docdra, Try not to look at how long the game has been out. They had some really unfortunate things happen early on (You can see that info somewhere in the discussions).

First I would say is there are only a few negative reviews for a reason. This game is packed with love and care from the devs. It is painfully obvious how much work they have put into the game. That being said it is still a 2 person team. There are roughly 30 buildings I believe and probably around a 100 items with half being able to be crafted. The main branch of the game isnt updated as much but the midway branch which is updated constantly. This is meant to keep unstable features from being added to main branch but I have seen very few issues while playing on midway branch.

The systems are pretty complex. I actually started the game over since I didnt read properly and ended up not managing my base well due to my own excitement to just play the game. On my current save I have 6-8 hrs and I havent finished the story line. I am unsure how that one guy beat the game in 2 hrs lol.

At the end of the day I think the game is under valued and under appreciated. Just the visuals are worth the price of the game. It is beautiful and always blows me away.

In the discord the devs have discussed the next two updates will be a new Monorail system and 2 new biomes with missions coming soon. If I were to estimate based on how fast updates come out I would say those updates will be release in the next 1-3 months.

If you have any more questions let me know or join the discord and see what everyone is saying about the game and look at everything they have there.

(Edit)One thing to keep in mind though. It is early access and the game does not hold your hand. If you have ideas or issues about the games join the discord and let the devs know or let the community help you. They are great about listening to the community and working with us. A recent example of this is a player posted pics showing off their base in the discord and noticed they were rotating two lights together to make them look like an arch way and the devs added actual arch lights into the game 3 days after and loved the idea.

2 hours gameplay? thats funny cause Im already 23 hours into the game, and the game will keep me busy for a very long time, even without story progression. There is so much to discover and try and improve, so many possibilities to stay busy without losing meaning, that I have absolutely no worries about getting bored until the next story part comes out. If you are really interested in this game you can read my threads here. I've listed a few things related to the game. Maybe that will help you a little. But I can tell you in advance, it's the best scifi crafting game I know.
And sorry, the game costs a ridiculous 8 euros! Anyone who is still whining like this reviewer that the game has nothing to offer should be ashamed. First because it's embarrassing and second because it's a lie.
There's a lot of fantastic content coming to this game, and until then I'll be excited to enjoy what the game has to offer already.
