Lost my Character

Just started my game after the update and my game froze righ after i came into my save, it was frozen for about 30 seconds before i was forced to creat a new character and it started a new game, i exited without saving and tried loading my original save with no problem but my old character is no gone and the new character has now replaced that one. I've lost all my items that the old character had (yes it was alot of usfull stuff) on him but i luckily have my base inventory.

Just wondering if there is any way to restore the old character or do i need to grind up everything again?

Managed to fix the problem by just restarting the game a second time :-P

Can probably close or delete this thread now.

We are investigating this, were you on the Windows Store (Game Pass) version of the game?

@TMF_Forrest. I am on the xbox version of game pass and I've lost my character as well. So this is affecting both versions it would seem.

When I logged in it took me directly to a character creation screen after the patch. I lost the character and everything with it.

This is a HUGE bug and I would not recommend this game to anyone until this is resolved. Over 100 hours LOST.

Restarting the game did not work for me.

I'm really sorry about that, we're investigating. Have you only played on Xbox? Have you played on multiple different xboxes, or on pc, or only the same console?

We've seen this occur with syncing and log in issues with the windows store and game pass versions. Which version are you using?

Same problem here with gamepass version. After lost my save, in the new game, I can't save at all.

Do you have a lot of saves? It's possible you've exceeded the cloud storage limit for the title.
