Hey you! Want to play a game that requires a community to have fun? Want to play a game that requires a daily commitment for a set number of days? Want to waste hours and hours of time digging endlessly towards a goal only to have a friend beat you to that goal because you have a job? Well then Eco is the game for you. Eco is a fun game, if you have no less than 2 friends to play it with. HOWEVER! The game is not perfect as you must rely on other people who may have different goals or the same goal as you. For example I found a super awesome server to join and was making great progress in the game without the server being modded. I spent 1 real world week on this server that was new and only had only just started. I built roads, a home, bought a steam truck and the very next Sunday after I had started, the game was over. The rest of the server Zerg rushed to the end and then nuked the server for fun. Example 2: Started a new server that was only 1 or 2 days old with 2 friends right after the big boat update. We built up a nice villa with shops, a mine, and a SECRET TUNNEL! Through Mountain! Secret Secret Secret- the server crashed after 2 weeks and all was lost.

SO, be warned, the game is really only fun when you have friends to play it with who you can talk to, plan thing, and in my case have a business major who know about investing and such do all the trading and such so you can just dig holes and cook food. Also plan to spend lots of real world hours trying to do just about anything. Everything takes time in this game. So your mileage may vary.

Do I recommend this game? YES- if you have friends or like meeting randoms people on the internet. Just be warned... again... from my experience, the whole server can go to hell and die for many reasons that will be beyond your control.
