Two Excellent Books on the Subject

For those wanting to know what a real 17th century executioner's life was like, two books should be read in tandem;
- The Faithful Executioner, about Franz Schmidt
- The Memoirs of a Prague Executioner, about Jan Mydlar

Very, very fascinating books.
Just got back from following in Mydlar's footsteps (historical research, not copying his job - lol).
