Weapon differences?
Is there a way to find out the weapon differences? For example I could swear Swamp Claw attacks faster than Three Steel Widows, but the latter hits harder. Are there a bunch of hidden stats I'm missing? The Guides section here was pretty bare bones.

I'm definitely noticing different values myself, especially regarding the damage done.

Ok, I've tested each weapon a little bit and here are the results.

Everything was tested against the first 3 enemies of Mount Putuo, Legend Difficulty and the Thrust Skill Tree completely maxed. To further add on that, I only tested the normal Thrust Attack and only the first hit (so I never went further with the Combo). The higher value is the buff from the "Tip" Skill (+30% Damage if you strike with the weapon tip, basically a "sweet spot").

Oak Pole - 131/157
Forest Rage - 168/218
Fisherman's Pole - 105/136
Singed Dragon - 210/273
Staff of Abbot Shuo - 157/204
Jade Cliff - 136/177
Jingu Bang - 105/136
Swamp Claw - 131/170
Icy Ruin - 131/170
Three Steel Weadows - 157/204

EDIT: I've just unlocked my first Gold Weapon (Oak Pole) and it does more damage as well (141/184 vs. 131/170). Pretty neat.

Nice dedication testing them all, I only tried about 3 weapons before realizing the damage numbers were different. I wonder if attack speed varies as well or if it's just placebo effect.

It'd be nice if the devs had a list compiled somewhere, or would add the info to the game when trying to evaluate a weapon. Already a bit tedious to test out new weapons by going into a level for a bit instead of just having a training dummy to hit in the temple.

Yeah, a training dummy is a great idea (and it's already basically in the game, just need to be "unlocked" basically).

Oh I haven't reached that point, is it in New Game+? I only just beat the game for the first time but haven't restarted on +

I was referring to the guy the game uses to show how to use the different Styles (everytime you unlock a new tab of abilities, basically). That one is basically a dummy :)

That's why I put "Unlocked" between quotation marks.

A stat bar would be nice, to let us know the reach, damage, etc.

Coming back a year later as I replay this game to say damage stats suuuure woulda been sweet. I can tell the game isn't getting updates, but still, a bit of a shame as it's fun!
