Unlock all skits?

Hey, I'm curious about something.
I'm planning on replaying this game (already finished it a while ago, got well over a hundred hours after postgame stuff), and have just finished grinding all the Grade I'd need to get whatever from the Grade shop, to carry over my stuff properly.

I was planning on streaming at least the starting part of the game to some friends, to introduce them to the series, since I've brought up these games a couple times in the past. But I also wanted to emphasize showing them the SKITS which I've always praised as a highlight of the series (natural, organic character interaction and whatnot that makes the party more engaging).

I know there's an achievement for seeing all skits in the game, and that most people simply use the grade shop unlocker to have them all available by the time Nam Cobanda isle unlocks.

But I want to know; IF I take that grade shop item, will this prevent me from naturally seeing skits along the way? Where they would've normally unlocked from just playing?
Cause I want to be able to show that as I'm playing, but if I have to EXPLICITLY not take this grade shop option then it probably means I'd need another, THIRD playthrough after this, just to speed through the game with that unlocked until the island shows up so I can see the skits.

If i recall correctly, YES, this will make it so that the skits will not unlock and play as you progress through the game. I could be wrong but If i am recalling correctly I unlocked the grade shop unlock all skits and i was not able to view any skits. I believe, though again I may be wrong, but the records carry over from the grade shop will also not allow you to unlock/watch skits you saw last playthrough as well, and you'll only see new ones that you did not unlock previously. Again i may be wrong but i never take those 2 grade shop rewards anymore when i replay this game (once a year or so) and i believe that is why i dont.

Its been a while since i had this issue my self but I believe if you unlock all skits in grade shop you won't be able to see any skits while playing and they'll only be at the island but if you don't unlock all of them but do take records you'll only unlock the ones you have not yet seen. if you unlock all and take records you still won't see any and they'll only be available at the island. I do apologize its been a while as i said since i had this issue but i do believe i remember doing a playthrough where i unlocked all skits and had none unlock organically as i played and then viewed all of them at nam island to get the achievement.

An easy way to test, which if i recall i did, was to unlock them in grade shop and then fast forward to the first skit of the game where Yuri talks to himself about the lower quarter. If that skits play you should be able to see all the skits in the game when they get unlocked

Okay, just in case anyone comes to this thread in the future...

The RECORDS grade shop item is the one that carries over which skits you already saw, which is what internally tells the game whether or not to let you see those skits normally as you're playing.
You can take "unlock all skits" along just fine, and as long as you're NOT carrying over your records too, it should act as if you never saw any of the skits while still theoretically having them unlocked over at the island's skit viewer later on.

Eyy, thanks for testing this. Been like 5 years since i had this issue so i forgot a lot. I'll remember this for future playthroughs as some of the best skits are hard to unlock
