Okay, just in case anyone comes to this thread in the future...
The RECORDS grade shop item is the one that carries over which skits you already saw, which is what internally tells the game whether or not to let you see those skits normally as you're playing.
You can take "unlock all skits" along just fine, and as long as you're NOT carrying over your records too, it should act as if you never saw any of the skits while still theoretically having them unlocked over at the island's skit viewer later on.
