I seriously blanked that youtube is a thing, yeah looks like a few people have it working just fine on the deck. Thank you
When encountering this issue, I've sometimes been able to switch to a keyboard based controller config to get my ass to a save point and save and reboot the game to fix, but I would highly recommend saving frequently as sometimes I had difficulty doing even that.
I didn't realize the trigger could be sleep/wake as some users are saying, I'm pretty sure I've frequently slept/woke the game without the issue occurring, however I've definitely had it happen after trying to multitask on the steam deck back and forth between the game and chrome (still in game mode though, I have chrome configured in like a fixed resolution mode for game-mode browsing) to consult a missables guide.
As such, I think the trigger for this issue is a little bit more unpredictable but essentially has something to do with the game going out of focus or being halted externally (by the OS via sleep or task switching), but I also want to add that it's quite rare and shouldn't become too much of a thorn in your side if you save often.
Could anyone here who is running the game without micro-stutters or choppyness tell me what in-game and steam deck settings they use? Any mods you're all using on deck?
