Length compared to Berseria
I only played Berseria, so the question.

Also, does Vesperia have a new game +?

A bit shorter story wise IIRC and there’s a NG+.

A bit shorter on the main quest (not by much, however: it's still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long), but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of sidequests, events and other content.

Vesperia has a new game + mode that was called "ex new game" in the original xbox 360 version, and also a grade shop to buy modifiers/upgrades for any new run. It's very unlikely to be able to buy all upgrades from grade shop after a single run.

To me, a single, NON complete run (didn't do most sidequests, unfortunately), lasted just a bit more than 100 hours on xbox 360. Ex dungeon included.

This version also features a second ex dungeon, but i can't tell you much about it since i've never player ps3 version.

Good answers! What I wanted to hear. :)

Just another question: is it possible to make any permanent mistake? Like missing some item you can't get anymore, etc. Never liked to play games with a guide.

There are a tone of permanent mistakes in this game. Mostly side quests which give costume titles, weapons, and Endgame Dungeon Access. I recomend using the GameFaqs ToV guide for the PS3 Version of the Game.

That’s probably what you don’t want to hear but that’s the Tales of with the most missable things.

YES tons of them... Weapons, skills, side quests, dungeons... lol 1st play though is not so important about missing stuff. But I suggest using a guide 100% second playthough. However you can use one 1st play if you want. Here are some guides I consider good. And from what I hear they cover the new PS3 content as well for this version of the game.

I'm kind of using all three of them until I figure out which one is best. The 3rd one is more for just side quests I think. So I will likely end up using #1 and #3 for the full game. But #2 maybe as well to be safe.

I think the first missable stuff starts around the first boss battle. Secret missions... but in this version of the game I think you can re-do boss battles and maybe secret missions too if you missed them? I don't know?

Actually technically the first missable thing is not using Magic Lens in the very first battle the turtorial battle VS the two dumb knights. So if you care about achivements and completion as well. Than this game is insane. If you only care about missing skills, dungeons, weapons things that directly inpact the game. It's still easy to miss. But better than 100% completion.

Yeah, that's indeed what I don't want to hear. hahaha

Well, playing the second time with a guide seems ok though. At least I experience the story without spoilers or anything like that.
