Overlimit

Can anyobody please give me a more detailed explanation about overlimit? I just got the tutorial for it but I didn't really understand. Do I have to press 3421 at the same time or just a number? I'm using the keyboard btw.

Just any of the number. But if you upgrade your overlimit orb by synthesising it in shops, you may increase the bar limit. You will need to pay attention to the numbers when that happens.

For example, pressing 2 will use up two overlimit at once. Pressing 1 will only use up one overlimit

Adding to Simon's post, do note that characters can be allowed to use overlimit in parallel. For example if the gauge has reached 4, when you activate Lv.2 overlimit, you may also choose to allow two more characters to use Lv.1 overlimit at the same time (4 - 2 - 1 - 1 = 0).
