It was the second one but even the first boss fight is pretty ridiculous how many moves and advantages it has in comparison to the player just starting out.
How is someone who just started the game suppose to instantly learn infinite and every exploits the first time at the game?
another tip I can give you is having rita and estelle in your party and setting them to only use specific spells or moves.
like for example setting rita to use fireball or spells with good tracking.
that way zagi (or most bosses really) will be stunned in most situations
I have gotten pretty far pass where I was when I first made this thread. I mainly made this post more to talk about how crazy of a spike in difficulty the boss pose rather then because I'm stuck in the game.
Maybe you need to drop the difficulty level, if you can.
