What is wrong with the difficulty of this game?
Bosses having endlessly long combos that stun locks you to death with full armor that powers through everything that you do. You don't have enough recovery to block attacks and every enemy will alway get free counter attacks after you finish doing your attack. WTF is wrong with this game?

It was the second one but even the first boss fight is pretty ridiculous how many moves and advantages it has in comparison to the player just starting out.

azure edge when he's running towards you puts him in his place

You can combo second zagi from 100 to 0 if you learn the games mechanics such as boss tech outs, manual/spell cancel, extending combos with ovl activation and what not. easier to mash attack attack attack arte and never block I suppose.

How is someone who just started the game suppose to instantly learn infinite and every exploits the first time at the game?

I will say that yeah it can be weird and a little strange to tell someone on their first run to learn the advanced mechanics.
another tip I can give you is having rita and estelle in your party and setting them to only use specific spells or moves.
like for example setting rita to use fireball or spells with good tracking.
that way zagi (or most bosses really) will be stunned in most situations

I have gotten pretty far pass where I was when I first made this thread. I mainly made this post more to talk about how crazy of a spike in difficulty the boss pose rather then because I'm stuck in the game.

You are not supposed to learn the advanced mechanics on your first hours, you won't even fully learn one character by finishing the game playing said char, that's the fun of the game. It has an actual combat system which rewards practice but you can still stick to the usual RPG party stuff.

Maybe you need to drop the difficulty level, if you can.

yeah i can see that.... 1 fight vs zagi was pretty hard... 2nd would have lost of the girl didnt heal me all the time... i also dont really like this battle system.. its too unresponsive... if this game gets to hard i might just use a trainer and just enjoy the story tbh
Huh the only boss that gave me a really hard time in any non new game+ run through was the Canine monster that attacks you on your way to Nor Harbour. Can't remember its name Gatsu or something? Pain in the ass even worse is trying to do the secret mission. Second run through was a breeze thanks to the Fell Weapons. Man i wish Berseria and Zestiria had put in the fell weapons.

sorry to necro , but the hard mode is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. zagi can armor through azure edge and hit me. the chip damage was also insane. it's up to whether he want to spam combo or not, otherwise it's a painful and stupid fight since i don't have ability to cancel my attack this early, and zagi is able to hit me even after hit by azure edge sometimes.

You can try to bait him out. Like have him chase you down and run from him at the same time, and when he misses a combo try to punish him from behind.
