is there a way to enable saving anywhere?

latest crash caused me to lose 3 hours of playtime . its not like i was out of memory or anything

anyways

is there a way enable saving anywhere? i checked the cheat engine threa don this game. seems they dont have it.. i dont want to cheat i just want to avoid suffering from teh constant crashes

im at the point where we recruit one of hte new chars for the ps3 edition uh and ive lost many many hours of playtime getting here beacuse of the crashes

but my saved game says 17 hours

thats 7 hours of time lost to crashes and replaying the same scenes.

There are many opportunity to save, you can save at any place in world map's field (as long as you are not on a boat or Ba'ul). There usually 1 or 2 saves in a dungeon, just save before coming in the dungeon and save again when you decide to come out. If you see a save point just save there. Three hours without saving is quite long in my opinion. The only place I find a little hard to save is when getting on Hercules since you can't go back to world map and the first save point in that dungeon is quite far away.

You can save anywhere on world map through the menu. You should also practice the habit of always saving when you encounter a save point in dungeons.

heheh yeah im paranoid about saving but i was farming that tower with teh gears and was almost at the next save point IIRC and poof CTD

ah well yeah ill backtrack more ive been doing that alot lately its annoying but oh well more xp for me

Ghasforost? It's not very well known but you can scale down from where Flynn joins you and get onto the World Map, giving you a save location mid-way through the dungeon.

I certainly would like a save anywhere function but not saving regularly is reckless. I can definitely sympathize but you have ample opportunity to save in Ghasforost if you back out to the World Map.

yeah im hours past that tower now ive just been turtling my way through sigh

oh well. i hope they fix this issue.. i remember leaving my 360 on for weeks at a time and playing randomly without ever turning it off or "exiting" the game.. i want that stabliity in the PC verssion :D

Yeah, it's somewhat vexing having to save on specific points after so getting used to be able to save anywhere on newer games. I also lost a couple of hours of gameplay because I forgot to save and foolishly tried to challenge that green titan. But eh, it's just something to get used to, due to it being an old game I guess.
