Costume mods or restores?
Has anyone actually succeeded in restoring Rita's Mordio outfit or Estelle's princess dress? I would love to have access to those in place of their defaults like on the XBOX 360 version.

And while it likely won't happen, I would love to see Judith get Sheena's swimsuit from Tales of Symphonia.

Here's a cheat engine table with the costumes. Estelle's princess dress is a title called "Mysterious Maiden" if I'm not mistaken, so on that tablet switch her title to that one.

I...have no idea what I am even looking at, to be honest. Is this some kind of trainer?

With Cheat Engine you can edit values on the memory of any software. Trainers work the same way, but they're made with specific task in mind, they're made to work on specific games and just edit specific addresses in the memory, generally with predefined values.

Anyway, you need to download Cheat Engine: https://www.cheatengine.org/

And at the end of that post you'll see "TOV_DE_Costumes_Cooking_Misc.CT", click on it to download.

Open that file in cheat engine and the game. Then follow these steps:

Then save and reload the save file.

I figured it out, but I noticed that it only makes the costume my active title. Has anyone figured out how to permanently add the title to my list of titles?

People have done it for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions already, so it shouldn't be hard to do on PC. The fact I can't seem to find a tutorial or anything is honestly kind of surprising.

Kind of. Someone has made a "unlock all titles" cheat, but it literally unlocks every title for every character. That is, each character will have the titles of every other party member and even some test/blank titles. A cheat to just unlock that characters title can easily be done, but without a 100% save it will just involve a lot of brute forcing since you'll have to test random values until you get the right ones.

It's not surprising at all. When you don't have a 100% save to work with things get a lot more time consuming since you end up having to try a bunch of different values in Cheat Engine to figure out. For example. Here's the value for Estelle's skills:

B6 3E FD DB D2 A9 1B 3F 32 72 80 6F 00 00 00 09 58 06 E9 A0 03 00 00 80 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 07 11 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

The first two digits, B6, when converted to binary is 10110010. Through brute forcing (testing different values), I can see that it represents the skills:
-blank
-Strength
-Strength 2
-Strength 3
-Magic
-Magic 2
-Magic 3
-Elemental

That's just the first two digits. Now imagine having to test every set of numbers to figure out how to represent every skill and then figuring out which skills each character have and manually do those binary -> hex conversion for every set of numbers to create values for each character to have a "unlock all skills" cheat. It's doable, but it's boring and time consuming, it will take you a few hours.

With a 100% save it's really just a matter of copying the values of each character with all skills unlocked to create the cheat.

I found the cheat you were talking about, but it only adds the titles so long as the cheat is active. Once I turn off the game, if I turn it back on without the cheat table enabled everything goes back to how it was before. And yes, I do save the game after "acquiring" all titles.

I wondered if it was a bug or something, so I found a similar table with all skills. When those were activated, I turned on skills for Yuri and Estelle that would maximize Over Limit's effectiveness, saved, and turned the game off and on again. When I got back to the skill screen, the skills went back to normal but the available skill points remained the same.

So, either the skills I turned on are still on but not "officially" acquired yet like regular unlearned weapon skills, or I seriously bugged the game out and it'll crash upon going into a fight. I'll check the next time I go into battle and post the results here.

I just tested it right now and it's working fine. Saved, restarted the game with Cheat Engine closed and the characters are still with the right title. Same goes for skills, played around with them to give some characters skills that they weren't supposed to have and that change wasn't being reverted when restarting the game.

That's bizarre. Did you have Cheat Engine closed when you rebooted the game?

Thats most likely a Noob Question, but i'll ask anyway. I followed all Steps you made, and the steps from the Link. But did i need a specific Name and Folder for the saved File? Right now i saved it into the Game Folder. That don't work though. Any help is appreciated.

Bit of a Cheat Engine newbie here. I did follow the steps, the costumes were not showing up for me.
Asra Jan 11, 2020 @ 4:10pm
Cheat tables aren't updated for this version. This is why it isn't working. You need to downgrade ToV.
Stoven Jan 17, 2020 @ 3:50pm
Finally got around to it. That did the trick, thanks!

Was this ever fixed? Since steam now blocks you from downloading old versions of the game it seems like there's no way to make this work any more without an updated version of this table.
