I am terrible with Combos so i usually map the arte i am working on to the default button and then spam the arte until i learn the altered version.
Unfortunately no.
The only way I can seem to do it is by casting another arte that can chain into luna rondo so I can hit the altered arte.
I'm wondering if its a bug. Might want to figure out how to report it to BanCo.
Judith's combos work SO much better with all her altered artes. Its like night and day. With all her altered artes and arial skills unlocked, she can stay in the air almost indefinitely, especially in NG+ with your OL gauge skills active, because then you can just spam everything, and if you use (is it Imperial Crest? the item that increases OL gauge gain) she's pretty much never not in OL xD
You'd think, but it doesn't tend to work that way. That's why you have to use an arte that puts you into it, then chain it. Using by itself doesn't work, even with the skill active, which is weird, because it shouldn't work that way.
This is my first play through of any of the Tales games, and I was getting a little frustrated that I couldn't seem to get it to activate.
Yeah I was a little surprised myself. This problem didn't exist in the original editions.
