The constant change between who is voice acting Yuri is terrible

It's so easy to tell when Troy Baker is doing Yuri's voice and when he is not and it's terrible. I'm kind of disappointed by this as his Yuri VO is part of what made this game as good as it was and this other actor is... bad.

There are constant changes? I figured that the Troy Baker stuff would be all through the main game and then it would swap to the new guy for the expansion stuff.

Yes you are right, but the expansion scenes happen very early, and like all over the place. It's not really like graces where it's only after teh story that it happens. This one added a lot of scenes from the beginning till the end mainly because patty joins you super early.

New cutscenes seem to have been added into the main game, so you'll see it switch off here and there.

Who is the replacement actor, anyway? I kinda figured that they'd cast Baker's eternal understudy Matthew Mercer, but I guess they didn't go for him.

Wow, how cheap is Namco Bandai? I didn't even know about the change before I played the game and I noticed the first time it happened. You cannot splice voice acting like that. They should have brought back troy baker or re recorded ALL of his lines. This game costs almost as much as a new retail game. It's lazy and cheap. This does a disservice to both voice actors and the fans. It's a damn shame, this game was the last tales game with voice acting that I loved in english. (graces and onward have been awful in english, but that's besides the point). Edit: Troy Baker was never even approached... LAZY LAZY CHEAP CHEAP

most people just going disable english dub use japanese

Yuri aside, please remember the fact of all the other Voice Actors they DID get back. It's not easy to rehire that many people after a decade.

Troy must cost a fortune nowadays.
we'll never really know why because he was never talked to. he even said that he was disappointed.
but, it's not that big of a deal like you're making it out to be.
they aren't going to redo his lines with the new guy. cost too much I'm guessing for lines already done. so why add more to the bill?

Sure it is, they should of rerecorded all the lines of anyone who had their VA changed. Quite frankly, Frankensteining the VA together like this is unprecedented, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.

That's the entire cast besides him, you numskull.

Re-recording all of Yuri's lines would've been pretty expensive and you'd still cry that Baker was replaced.
