In my opinion, he does not sound too bad and from what I can hear based off of early streams of the game, the other voice actors have returned and sound the same baring some NPC characters sounding off at times. (Judith is the only main party's voice I have not heard yet.)
Union guy now. Union VAs are very very expensive.
Unless Troy, Bandai, or Troy's manager come out to say what happened, we don't know the truth. The only thing we do, is that Troy claimed he was never contacted by Bandai.
Bandai could have contacted his manager, and after failed negotiations, the manager rejected it without even telling Troy.
Considering they got almost all the other voice actors, me thinks something foul happened.
Or namco felt it wasn't wory paying him a huge amount with only a mere couple hundred lines and made an offer the manger rejected and said thanks but no thanks.
I'm sorry to ask this buy what is a "Union guy" ?
Edit: had to replace "game developers" with "game publishers" because it bothered me that I made that mistake
(original dubs in japanese game clearly mean japanese dubs, just so people dont get confused)
