As for Vesperia, the gameplay was fun throughout and the story and the characterd were also pretty great.
Definitely worth your time in my opinion.
I did compare VA in Berseria and ended up playing with JP VA (mostly because of Magilou and Velvet).
Still I admit there are cases when Eng VA is way better than JP. (first thing that comes to mind is Danganronpa).
If you are hesitant to finish Zestiria, just don't do it honestly. I personally only finished that game because I had the time and kept hoping for it to become better, all the way to the end.. and it just never did for me (I'm aware some people like it, including my brother). At some point in life you've touched so many games you realize some games just aren't worth finishing and you just have to cut your losses. Vesperia is definetely one you shouldn't miss out on however, but you can always buy it later as it's a single player game with optional local co-op.
A sentimental attempt at insulting someone?
