I think it's a bit early to be calling an SD game 'good'

They've had a good track record so far, but so did Gundam Breaker.

As part of the G Generation series (rather than a new SD Gundam sub-series) I doubt they're reinventing the wheel here though.

Just glad Bamco didn't give up on Gundam in the west.

G Generation Genesis is actually very much Gundam. It's actually a little disappointing in that it doesn't have its own storyline and just follows the scenarios from the U.C. timeline rather than having worlds collide and screw with what should have been the original storyline.

It pretty strictly follows the narratives of original U.C. scenarios in it. There can be a few changes here and there though. For me, notably is that it tries to reconcile the Zeonic and Federation storylines from 0081 (among some other chanages). It's not because of dimension/timeline-smashing mischief though, it's just how the storyline goes.

Not sure how the new one is handling it. It mentions 4 worlds crossing, but the trailer actually lists13 scenarios they're following from the roster of series being shoved in, so I guess we'll see where that goes I guess.

Yeah, I dropped Generation Genesis midway because the story is basically just retelling the tv shows. I've already watched most of them.

Mustache Gundam especially.

it seems we have no UC this time, which is little disappointment for a 40th year anniv. announce.

Indeed. The inclusion of SD Gundam GX indicates we'll SD original UC units like Tornado Gundam though.

I'll be sad to not have things like the Gerbera Tetra Kai, G-Line, 7th Gundam, Delta Gundam Kai, Pale Rider, etc., but I'll be glad to have stuff like the Destiny Impulse back. I may run a Murasame squad this time around if they include those things too.

Why do people keep talking about this like it's ever gonna be on the West? Can you guys not read? This game will be released on Steam ONLY IN SOUTHEAST ASIA, there hasn't been any mention on a western release, and unlike console versions which you can import, that's not an option for Steam.

That's not what it says. It says it'll be released in SEA on that video because it's a SEA video. All that description does is confirm SEA release. It doesn't deny other releases. Counter example to your claim pertaining to Steam is that Steam release is also mentioned on the Japanese site and video, so it's probably not just SEA for the Steam release. It's also JP. There's no word of western release one way or the other.

That aside, I'm probably picking up the JP PS4 version. An EN Steam version would just be a bonus.
