This post is a bit off topic, but these games are similar enough to FNAF (Most are indie horror games that are based off old, uninteninally scary things, like Furby's for Tattletail or 90's Edutainment games for Baldi, like how FNAF was with Chuck. E. Cheese)

Baldi is basically a purposley janky game based off of 90s education games like Sonics Schoolhouse. It isnt that scary, but it is decent fun

Ah. Don't see myself having much fun with it, tbh. Honestly, the only other indie horror game that has worked really well as a horror game was SCP: Containment Breach, but that was last updated years ago, and I don't know anything about the development of the game as of recently.

Yeah. A lot of indie horror games are pretty fun, but actually fail at being scary besides jumpscares (Such as Tattletail, Baldi, FNAF, and *ALPHA* Hello Neighbor (Which was actually decent))

Hello Neighbor is litterally the tamest "horror" game I have ever seen (Well maybe besides Baldi), it isn't scary at all, and the ESRB literally rated it E10+, and almost all horror is T!

Ch. 4 of Bendy seems really good from the footage i've seen. It looks better than 1, 2, and 3, which, as much as I like the series, fetch quests

Yeah. Jumpscares aren't scary in my opinion. All the new indie horror games (even if I like some and I am not saying all are) try to be as popular as FNAF by copying stuff from it, namely jumpscares, while not realizing FNAF wasn't succseful from jumpscares, but because it focused on fun and challenging gameplay

Most are a jumpstart fest, which completely gets rid of any immersion I have. I find most jumpscares funny instead of horrifying, so I'm sucked out of the universe I've been part of for the past hour or so.

Here's what I think of the ones I came across.

Tattletail: Furbys and robotic pets like those always terrified the crap outta me. This game takes it to the next level, which I never thought was possible because those things always scared me. I'd say out of all the indie horror games out there, this is by far the most underrated one.

Hello Neighbor: I never seen a playthrough of it nor have I played it myself, but I have heard of it.

Bendy: I won't give this one my full thoughts until after Chapter 5 is out. Chapters 1-3 were good, but I didn't think they were great. But Chapter 4 tho. Oh boi, Chapter 4. It might've been a short one, but gawsh that was frickin AMAZING! If Chapter 5 is as good as or surpasses 4 in quality, then I'll be a Bendy fan to the bitter end.

(Welcome to) Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning (That's me!) - I see this game as more of a huge meme than anything.
