Remember Yenndo from SL?
Not only that he appeared in custom night? But he did appear in funtime auditorium as an easter egg during night 3.

I'm wondering if he serves some importance to the story or if he's just a creepy easter egg that's similar to FNaF 2's endo-02 easter egg.

Yenndo does have the ability to jumpscare you in Funtime Auditorium as well, so keep that in mind if you're gonna try making connections.

Well... Yendo has got jumpscare but it is in Custom Night not in normal "Story Mode"...

Well he wouldn't have to of performed with spring Bonnie, just like how F.Freddy performs with F.Foxy and Bonnie instead of with Chica and Bonnie.

i mean knowing william he probaly planed to make more murder robots with advanced A.I but he scrapped the plan or something hence not finishing the others
