Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator

Everything wrong with FNaF 2
I've made two posts on why SL is a bad game, but I haven't touched on why I hate FNaF 2 so much. So I'll just make a little list about why it sucks.

1: It's too difficult. I'm all up for some challenging gameplay, as long as it's fun to play, but playing through FNaF 2 is too tedious and expects too much out of the player. Didn't put the mask on exactly right after you pull down your monitor? Sorry bucko, you're dead.

2: It was made in just two months. This speaks for itself.

3: The jumpscares suck and look really really fake, like W. Golden Freddy's jumpscare for example.

4: Toy Chica.

5: The game is awfully unbalanced, especially on PC. Just look at all the people being constantly screwed over by Toy Bonnie's 7 second long animation.

6: The music box. This is just makes the gameplay even more tedious.

7: It just looks so visually displeasing and not in a scary way.

8: It's boring.

9: The scare factor goes away really quickly, and since the game isn't fun either, it quickly becomes a chore to play through.

10: Checking the cameras is useless. I know this was a problem in the first game but it's especially noticeable here, with the music box and all.

I just don’t really see the problem with FNaF 2 asthetically other than it:

A. Clearly being designed for 4:3 aspect ratio monitors as opposed to 16:9 aspect ratio, leading to the game looking stretched in widescreen.

B. Having some issues with clipping, especially with the jumpscares, most noticable with Foxy and the Puppet.

C. Having certain HUD elements dissappear, such as the camera and/or mask icons at the bottom of the screen.
Meh, must be my personal taste then.
Probably. Honestly, asthetics are the least of my issues with FNaF 2.

Neither do I, but he hasn’t exactly kept his disdain for FNaF 2 a secret.

9. Agreed.

10. I’m not sure checking the cameras would be considered “useless” in FNaF 1, as you still need to check on Freddy and/or Foxy by Night 7. Yes, there’s the strategy that allows you to avoid looking at Foxy, but the fact that it can also be done by just looking at Foxy leaves the game open for multiple strategies, or at least more than one patten, which is what FNaF 2 boils down to: pull up tablet, wind up music box, put down tablet, immidiately put on mask, take off mask, flash Foxy in the hallway. Rinse and repeat until 6am. FNaF 1 may be repetitive as well on 4/20, but at least there aren’t 9 characters who do pretty much the exact same thing and can be beaten by the exact same strategy, with 2 others who make the game more annoying and tedious than it should be.

It also doesn’t help that that same strategy is used for literally every night in FNaF 2, even all the challenge modes. The only time you are given enough of an opportunity to use the cameras for anything that isn’t the music box is on Nights 1 and 2, and that’s because the music box doesn’t wind down as quickly as it does later on, nor are you being bombarded by lots of aggressive enemies at a time like you are on later nights.

In FNAF 1, alteast you have to use the cameras for Freddy and Foxy, and you occasinally may use the cameras for other things

In FNAF 2, the way the game is designed makes it not only useless, but basically an instant lose condition to use the cameras

Seriously, though. People treat FNaF 2 like a gaming masterpiece when the first game is so much better and less glitchy.
back when people weren't going crazy over The Box..... *sigh* The good old days.

Pretty much, yeah.

I think it's a good game because it was the first fnaf game I stumbled across. And little fact, I got to night 6 on a tablet! But then all my storage was taken and I had to re-do it all. I got so mad that I rushed to night 5 without any kills. And then my tablet eventually broke.

Just because it was the first FNaF game you played, doesn't mean it has to be good.
