One of the animatronics also say "you're not who i expected" which makes me think that its someone that we know or maybe have played as before.
For the record, I think it's a valid notion that Henry intended for a completely random, though dedicated, individual to take the job.
But if he was putting the job out for someone specific, I think the only likely candidate was Phone Guy.
Phone Guy likely worked closely with Will and Henry in the early days of the pizzeria. Like Henry, he was optimistic and had no idea of Will's true nature. I think there's a good chance Henry assumed he simply left the company and didn't realize he'd been killed, and he was hoping to call him back. And while Phone Guy sounded resigned to his fate on Night 4, it's not likely he'd have stuck it out through the fire, so Henry provided him with an escape route.
If Michael was undead he understandably might have wanted out. I won't lie, I'm still having trouble processing the idea of Henry as a grieving parent committing suicide, but then again this is fiction and it was never my story to write, it was Scott's.
Anyway,
Cassette Man -- Phone Guy
Paragraph 4 -- Night 4
Edit: If anyone is still looking on this very old discussion, I didn't make a what animatronic is your favourte, I'm thinking of doing one after UCN is released.
Thank you for the travel back through time necromancer. If anybody tells you people don't change, well they're only partly right.
