Who Are We Playing As?
Probably one of the biggest mysteries of FNaF 6 (or as I like to call it to not trigger the people still not wanting to accept that the series is over, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator") is: Who are we playing as?
Now, the biggest and most obvious answer would be Michael Afton, as Henry states "Although there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that that's not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be." and Michael wouldn't want to get out, as he wants all of this to die and burn to the ground as well, including himself. But the only problem is, Henry also states "And as for you, my brave volunteer, who somehow found this job listing, not intended for you." As Henry would probably want Michael to do this as he is an Afton member and is also trying to stop it all and free the spirits. So, who are we playing as? Well first, here are some pros and cons to us playing as Michael:

Pros:
-Henry states that we do want to leave, and are right where we want to be.
-Who else would want to take this job other than someone who knows the truth and is trying to free the kids?!
-The animatronics (excluding Willtrap) are most likely killing us due to them mistaking us for their killer William Afton, just like they did with Michael in SL.

Cons:
-Henry would want Michael to do the job as he is an Afton family member, and is also trying to free the kids.
-Henry states that this job wasn't intended for us, and if we're playing as Michael, then who the ♥♥♥♥ else would it be intended for?!

I personally think we are playing as Clay. For the 90% of you that probably don't know, Clay is a detective in the novels. And before you all scream at me that the novels aren't canon and shouldn't be used to solve the games: Take a look at the games and list the amount of characters from the novels that also exist in the game's universe. William Afton, Charlie, and Henry. Perhaps Clay was investigating into the burning of Fazbear's Fright, and Henry left behind a help wanted poster for the salvage person that he was going to hand to Michael, but when Clay finds it and reads the information, he takes the job. And in the novels, it's clear that he also just wants the children to be at peace. So it would also make sense for him to not want to leave since he has now gotten himself involved knowing he shouldn't have, and because of this, thinks he deserves to burnt as well. Pls liek and sub.

it is possible Henry had no idea Micheal was the way he was, Micheal hid in the shadows for around 40 years so Henry dealing with the resent closer of Freddy's had no idea what was going on in Sister Location at the time all he knew was the robots got into the sewers somehow.

As for who the job was ment for...I have no idea maybe it's a throw away line and the person it was ment for doesn't matter idk

Henry just expected some random Joe Shmoe to take the job so they will do what he asks them to do and he’ll let them leave when all is said and done. Since Michael was most likely the one who took the job, and because he’s been living in shadows for some 30 plus years (depending on when you think Sister Location takes place), Henry might not have expected him to be there. Because he was there, and Henry noticed how determined he was to stay even though it was clear that he was gonna die in the fire, he let him stay, because, as he said himself “I feel you are right where you want to be”.

Scott doesn't do jokes.
Unless it’s clearly intended to be delivered as a joke, such as pretty much all of HandUnit’s lines, or some of Phone Guy’s dialogue. But they are delivered in such a serious and strait forward way that they come off as comical.

I was only saying what MatPat said at that part of the video that guy linked....
Still, it’s not like Scott doesn’t put his own sense of humor in the games from time to time. The games aren’t all serious and dark all the time.

Despite the fact that it may be Clay, I don't believe it is. It wouldn't make that much sense, it would make more sense for Michael to join them, after all, it is his family. He discovered that he isn't a human at the end of FNAF SL Custom night. It would make sense for him to end it and join his family for the last time.
