This entry seems to tie the whole story together, but one thing still isn't answered: what's in the box? Has this been answered yet, because this seems to be the most mysterious aspect of the series and the only thing that hasn't, to my knowledge, been solved.

"Some things are best left forgotten." - It's most likely just the remnants of the history of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria and everything connected and/or related to it, locked away, forever. I'm fairly sure. Whether or not the box is real, or symbolic, is another matter entirely.

Which idk how it would have been presented but that's what he said

If that's true than I think the box is sorta like a metaphor. It doesn't actually exist in the story but in it is the entire FNaF universe.

I think it's symbolic. Like the box contains the whole FNaF timeline and doesn't actually exist in the story.

My two box theories.

1: Is the box burried in the mound by the pine trees?

2: There was a lot of speculation around the time of FNAF 4 that the dream theory was going to e true. I think it was going to be true until Scott realized a large section of the fan base didn't like it.

He has mentioned changing his original vision for the story once, and the clock sitting outside the room in FNAF 4 does seem to line up with the fact that each day ends with a clock chime. The clock is even visible in the house layout.

I was just thinking about that recently. The main outline for the story didn't involve the whole Afton family line till the books released after the whole dream theory was introduced and hated. Maybe the box was a clue for the dream story before he changed it to the new one involving the book.

Scott said no one will ever know what's in the box. He used the quote "Somethings are mean't to be secret" or something like that. So keep dreaming
