1) Do NOT accept sponsorships. If you're going to accept any, which I still recommend against, only take the last one (worth 5000 I think). They'll pop up in the night and produce a lot of noise which not only draws the attention of animatronics, but also prevents you from doing stuff for a little bit (couple seconds can make all the difference)
2) Remember you can only have 1 of these active at a time: Motion Detector, Audio Decoy, Silent Ventilation. I would recommend leaving AD or SV running when doing tasks, depending on what you need. If you need to cool down, run SV. If you know where an animatronic is or don't know where they are but don't need cooling it's best to activate the AD. If you know where to put it, great, if you don't just do the middle room across from you or one of the corners, this depends on placement strategy.
3) Placement strategy. If you only have one animatronic this isn't as important, but if you have more then one it is incredibly important. When you start the night, run the MD to find out where it/they is/are. Pick a side to keep them on, left or right, and drop the AD in that corner. You will now spend the night trying to keep them all on that side so you don't have to worry about two vents. Make sure to keep an eye on the MD or your audio to make sure if they're coming one after the other. If they're split and you can manage it, try to draw them to the room opposite of yours and then lure them to a side from there.
4) Ventilation. It's very important to keep yourself cool and I don't know what the cut off is. Keep the fan off unless you need cooling or are running SV to reduce noise in your office. Depending on how you're feeling, generally try to cool down once you hit anywhere from 80-100. Check your MD to see if anything is close and lure away with AD if necessary. If not, turn on your SV and start performing some tasks while staring at the side your animatronic was on, hopefully you don't have them on both sides, if so you may want to turn off your monitor. Depending on how you're feeling with how close the animatronics are to you, you may want to change what task you're doing. I could be wrong about this, but I think printing produces the most heat so it may be best to do this when using SV. Alternatively, you could do orders (especially if you have the upgrade) or maintenance.
5) Juggling. It's up to you to juggle the tasks and your abilities, but remember that you cannot have a task running and go to switch your ability as this will cancel the task. I highly recommend using the MD to see where they are and then switching to AD/SV respectively and then completing some tasks, generally 1-3, and then checking the MD again. Repeat.
6) Upgrades!!! These are very important for surviving, but they come out of your budget. Don't spend all of your cash during the day. For your first day I recommend saving 500 and getting the printer upgrade, not sure if it makes it go faster or produce less heat, but it makes it a lot quieter. Second night you'll wanna save 500 again and go for the high speed internet, again not sure if this effects speed/heat production, but it makes orders completely silent. Third night I recommend saving 900 for the handyman, which I'm not 100% sure what he does but I believe he makes maintenance go faster. If you die during a night, your upgrades STAY, you do NOT have to purchase them again, this saves you a couple seconds when retrying which might help
Also as far as "surviving" the night goes, you need to complete all of your tasks. I think there are 5 orders to complete, 3 advertisements to print, and 3 maintenance jobs to do. After all of those are done, you go back to your "main menu" (tasks) and hit LOGOFF.
The light actually doesn't help, that's a red herring.. only shutting down the system and later playing music will help...
I instinctively tried exactly what you have proposed here on my first Night, Risk 0, 1 active animatronic. used AD to lure Funtime freddy mid left to top left, juggled fan while I printed my flyers using fan only when heat 80+, soon as flyers printed I checked the MD and he was Mid right and running straight for my office. Shut down everything and stared down the vent I sat dead still until temp hit 98 and turned the fan back on but couldn't turn to PC so apparently was already dead. there was never any other ambient sound that I wasn't producing and this was post Night 1 nerf update. so what did I miss here exactly? is it like Fnaf 4 pre nerf and requires playing at THX volumes?
