F1 2018 AI
Hello.
I'm having trouble with the ai of the game.
I am playing full race and its too difficult to even reach the finish line because the ai keeps crashing me, turning me over and other things.
100% difficulty is not really a challenge for me so I've set it to 110%.

Is there a workaround to this?
Does this behavior exist in f1 2019 as well?

Turn down the ai level and dont make improvements of the car (only the durability) to keep the game smooth and difficult ;)

Sounds reasonable.
A shame. I really like how the car handles at max difficulty.

If the AI is crashing on you, ou are breaking too far away from breaking point for that AI lvl (so the AI dont consider you will break that early and dont react properly in time for your breaking point, you have to adapt to the AI lvl, the AI will not adapt to your lvl).

So, lower the AI to a level where it fits more your lap time and AI wil stop crashing on you.

First of all thanks for your replies.
No, this is not what is happening.
They run into me from behind on the straights for example.
They will not change their line to overtake me (if they can) but simply put... Smash on me or turn me over as if they are blind.

Another thing.
I was playing with a logitech f710 but because it's now 5 years old I bought a new Xbox one controller but the game is completely unplayable with this one.
Too damn sensitive. Especially on the throttle. Even if I set it to max linearity in game and in the steam app.

How can they get so fast at straight lines that they run into you if you mentioned "100% difficulty is not really a challenge for me so I've set it to 110%"?

It seen the case the AI is leaving the turns so much faster than you that it is running over you (as you are too slow on straight for AI speed).

i am not slow.
they can reach me by slipstraming and drs.
that much is easy to understand.

Well, that too.

I didnt mean exactly "slow", but not fast enough to stay ahead to avoid the situation.
Also, if you keep them under your slipstream, try to change direction, if they use DRS, they are past the turn anyway and got speed more than enough for that to work.

As you mentioned at 100 you dont have problems, but this is happening at 110, AI speed is now enough to cause that.

yeah,that makes sense.
but still giving up my line is not the best thing.
of course i see what you are suggesting

What level of noob are you playing at? Like what assists do you have on? Super noob traction control with T-Cam? Or the lack of F1 racing where if you're in the line of an F1 car where you can't hold a lead and you noob break in an awkward way where the AI hits you? Is that what you're complaining about?

If you are using autmatic gears, as you dont downshift to help breaking you take more time breaking and have to break for a longer distance and you will not always get through and out of the turns with optimal rev to get more speed on straight.
