Force Feedback and shift lights not working on Logitech G29 steering wheel
My dad bought this wheel a long time ago to play this game, at first everything worked fine the first time he played but after that the FFB and shift lights stopped working.

He asked me for help so we went looking online, we tried many things:
- changing registry keys
- trying every usb port
- reïnstalling drivers
- turning on v-sync
- reinstalling the game
- making a custom profile for the game on LGS
- Downloading a custom profile on steam workshop

After everything failed i took the wheel to my own pc and on first try everything worked, i didnt have to change a single thing.
I copied my profile over and put it in his LGS but that didnt work.
We even tried running the game with no mouse/keyboard plugged in

The wheel works just not the FFB or the shift lights.
Maybe it has to do with his pc, its an older pc with a gtx 745 and older gen i7 (around 2 years ago), my specs i5 9600k and rtx 2070.

I hope someone can help here cause im out of options.

Hey, thank you for your reply.
He has 16gb ram and the latest logitech software, we also tried using older software but to no avail sadly.
Completely wiping the software off the pc and reïnstalling also didnt work.
When i asked him about a little button that u mentioned he told me that switching that turns his wheel completely off.
Do you have other suggestions, atm we are kinda lost?

try this...go to STEAM(top left)---Settings....controllers...and uncheck everything off...and restart STEAM...and then try the game..

Did you ever manage to get this fixed? My wheel is doing the exact same thing, no shift light and no FFB but the steering works fine. It doesn't matter what game I'm in, just no FFB or shift light.

Disable the STEAM Overlay is another fix that some have tried successfully.

Yes, it got fixed randomly at some point.
My dad told me he just kept the logitech software updated and then suddenly it started working.
I asked him the usual if he had done anything else before it worked or something but nothing or he couldnt remember.
Just the updates.:lunar2020ratinablanket:

Dont think we were as we had downloaded the profiler a few times already while troubleshooting and trying to fix it.
It's my dad's pc so im not sure what changed from when it didnt work to when it did, hence why i cant pinpoint a solution.
