Can I remove the halo?
Sigh...my skills are limited. The halo blocks my foward center vision. I cannot move my head to one side or the other of the halo as I approach braking zones. Maybe in F1 2019 the AI could intelligently place the line of sight off center as appropriate as a driver appraches a left-or-right curve.

You can drive (Partially) halo free
You can turn off the middle column for cockpit cam. While in cockpit cam, go to camera settings and you can disable the halo column at the bottom.:F1flag::F1helmet:

The halo is a problem for us since we play the game in 2d however, if your luck enough to get an oculus rift or something similar, the halo is no longer a problem as far as blocking what you see.

Don't try to move your head up and to the side, that is dangerous. You have to look under your cockpit, in between your legs there is a small hole there where you can judge your braking zone by what you're seeing beneath you. There inside that hole there are two small midgets who are blowing on party blowers when it is time for you to brake.
