Report a translation problem
If you have short qualifying then the one with the best time if you are in the top 10.
That's why they sometimes abort a lap in Q2 to not get a better time as with the tires they want to start with. If that makes sense, lol 😂
If you reach Q3 then the tyres you start the race on are the ones you set your fastest lap with in Q2.
The tyres used in Q3 are returned and not available for the race.
If you don't make it to Q3 then you have free tyre choice and the tyres reserved for Q3 are available to you.
There is also a rule regarding mandatory race tyres which trips people up.
There are 2 tyres which are reserved for the race (they are the ones far right in your allocation)
You must use one of these sets of tyres in the race or you will receive a penalty (unless it's a wet race).
So be careful if you change the tyres for a pit stop during the race as you might accidentally break the rules.
