Wow I have been having the same D3D bug/crash on my brand new gaming PC with a 2080 GPU. I did the fix suggested by @jorgerivasfaure and it still crashed.

I just installed the beta/DX 12 version and the game seems to finally be running smoothly without crashing, but now the graphics are significantly worse than the standard version with noticeable pixelation. Any suggestions? :(

I had the same problem with a Dell G3 GTX1050, the error ocurred after 3 laps in practice or anything, sometimes in more laps, i have the latest driver and i found this solution and it worked for me!,

Put the same thing on your Nvidia setup!!!!!
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzo6vx2f86YBei1nMmN1a3ZhVVE/view

and in game turn Vsync on, Windowed (Full screen) and turn Anti-Aliasing to TTA Checkerboard.

Dont forget to put the same as the image and to change the ingame setup, i already finish the australian, barhein and china GP without any crash!!!

Let me know if it worked for you!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! Works for F1 2018. I was so frustrated. Fking Codemasters wont acknowledge this crashing issue. Fk the system!!!!
There is absolutely no fix for me. I've read so many different things and I've tried so many different things. Works on a laptop with a mobile 1070 but doesn't work on a desktop 2070.
Hi guys,

I'm new to this, i just changed the games (F1 2019) graphics setting to ultra high quality and now on game boot up on my PC i get the "the d3d device has been removed" and i cant press ok on the error message or do anything to lower the game's graphics settings down....

is there any way of fixing this without a full game re-install?

PLEASE HELP!

D3D Device Has Been Removed - Your GPU driver crashed.
Thats means this:
- Bad driver, try reinstall, install older/newer
- Too much overclocking gpu
- Bad gpu (last options)
But the problem only happens with F1 2018 and no other games. That suggests the game has an issue and not the PC.
I agree, i have the same problem but sometimes it works the hole day with no problem , i start Project cars 2 or any other game and i dont have this problem and reinstalling drivers dont work dont waste your time
