Try this and let me know:
Uninstall nvidia drivers, reboot, install nvidia drivers with custom settings - clean install. It solved the problem for me for other games having the same issue.

This is triggered by running out of vram, normally after you've been watching a replay after a race at some point in your gaming session. No need to install drivers again and all that, It's a game triggered bug of replays not being dumped from vram automatically. No matter how much vram you have, eventually I will get you.

Same problem (1070 Mobile) but installing latest NVIDIA Driver (399.07) as clean installation, seems the problem is fixed. The drivers have optimizations for Battlefield V Open Beta, F1 2018, Immortal: Unchained, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, Strange Brigade, and Switchblade.

UPDATE [4/09]: The problem is still present

Same problem here. I have the latest drivers for my GTX 1050 TI.

D3D Device Has Been Removed - Your GPU driver crashed.
Thats means this:
- Bad driver, try reinstall, install older/newer
- Too much overclocking gpu
- Bad gpu (last options)

same issue on rx580. tried drives 18.8.1, 18.8.2 , 18.5.1 ...

But the problem only happens with F1 2018 and no other games. That suggests the game has an issue and not the PC.
