Sounds good let us know if it helps!
I play since F1 2016. All 3 games use this same engine and so I'm not surprised that all 3 games stutter for me. Its strange because there also some minutes where it runs ok, then some laps stuttering and so on. And dont Alt+Tab this. Going back to fullscreen will give you stutter some laps.
For Nvidia Users, try to enable Adaptive v-Sync on the nvidia control panel, take off nvidia physics in advanced graphic settings, make sure you enable Direct X 11 not 12!!!!! DirectX12 is not well supported by nvidia graphics cards. Try to change all the settings down a bit. if the problem resolves it self because of that then i suggest you tune up settings accordingly and see whats making the Stuttering. Me myself with 1070Ti and i7 8700k have no problems on Ultra so dont really understand.
Dude. Seperate issue. Look at his specs.
No specs on OP... and that's not my article. I see random PC specs, AMD NVIDIA Intel and all.
Anyways, I experienced some stuttering on day 1 but not anymore. I might have a niche, I have triples 75hz monitors. I used to run 150 FPS on other titles, those were butter smooth. But F1 2018 have stutters. Some dude suggested I cap my FPS and so I did.
I used rivatuner and capped my FPS to 77. It worked for me, but not sure if that helps anyone. Basically, don't saturate your GPU with 100% load all the time. The game stutters at 100% GPU load, but not after I capped it and hovered around 70% - 90% load. I also don't understand why.
-On Nividia panel, I put vertical sync to adaptive
-I change the PhysX option from Auto to: the name of my card (not the CPU)
In the game: I have enable Vsync.
If I didn't talk about all the other options, it's because the stuttering didn't disappear with them on or off. I believe the problem was with PhysX assigned to the cpu by the Auto option. I didn't take teh chance with Vsync. Could be possible it's the two of them.
Not a good spec then, I also suffered from these micro lags but since I upgraded, my game is running like hot chocolate down my throat. Of course, the question remains why Codemasters is doing that? Probably having a great deal with all GPU and CPU providers. FYI, I am on an i7 8700k OCed and RTX 2070. Before I was on an AMD 8350 and a GTX 980ti.
