I have the same issue. Not much we can do till Codies patch it I think. One thing to help is turn steering saturation to 15, it'll make it somewhat playable, but it still doesn't feel right.

The game basically treats it like a controller when you're driving, but in the menu it registers it as a wheel, dissapointing they screwed this up lol

They didn't screw it up, Your settings on your wheel (In the computer is different) It should be set to 360, then it will work just fine. (You should have the settings in a driver on your computer)
I have a t150 and it';s true - I have to change to rotation degrees in the control panel before starting the game.
Racing car games are ussually no more than 360 degrees.

Update your wheel firmware and read the instructions, you can change the rotation in the control panel or do it by a ke sequence on the wheel itself.

You can slide die Steering affinity high in the settings menu so the angle gets lower

Mine's already 360. Trust me on this, the lock increases the slower I go like a controller. Many others have the issue as me, like this guy seemingly. I never had issues on previous games and I've played hundreds of hours

I have this exact issue with my T300RS and on the control panel I have it set to 360 degrees

I got the exact same problem with my TM F1 wheel on a T300, got my control panel setup to 360deg, and the wheel ingame is not applying a 360 everytime, seems like a controller.

Exactly. Hope Codies release a patch for it among other issues in what could be a fantastic game.

Fixed it myself, but you'll have to be using the F1 wheel as it only works with it, for those using the Thrustmaster F1 wheel addon, simply use the advanced mode on your profiler.

Some settings for the profiler: 360 deg, 85, 85, 85, 0, and 0 by the game.
