Usually most racing games when played with a gamepad controller like the xbox one controller, I turn this to 90% or higher.
What this does, is the steering becomes less, the higher the speed of your vehicle is.
So that when you go 200+ kmh, pressing left or right steers only a little bit. And going 60 kmh, pressing left or right, causes the wheel to turn around allot.
So you always turn as much as you can, depending on the speed of your vehicle. That way, you just focus on turning in at the right time and right speed.
I haven't tried playing f1 with a gamepad, but most racing games, if not all of them, usually come with a default setup for gamepads that already has the steering speed sensitivity enabled by default.
So I don't see why it woulden't work, if you just reset the gamepad controller options to default. Or enable the speed sensitivity manually, if that is possible in f1 18.
