Best weapon for Kruber so far?
For veteran and above. I kind of liked hammer and halberd but I heard there are still builds with executioner's sword? (despite it got nerfed)

Halberd still chews through storms and chaos wars and has crazy reach. I cant see anyone using anything else unless they nerf it.
MaxPower Feb 25, 2018 @ 4:07am
yeah halberd and for huntsman the longbow, that thing is crazy.

I prefer sword 2h for reach. Charge it up for armour, or use gun to take out storms.

2h or halberd, coach if your team has snipers, otherwise longbow.
EnStorEn Feb 25, 2018 @ 4:41am
Halberd, simply due to its all-round use.

If your team has even a single decent sniper take the coach blunderbuss. 1 shots everything weaker than a chaos warrior even up to champion and at an ok distance.

I say weapon choice depends on your level and talent setup. I was using the halberd until I got the concentrated brews combo going with bloodlust and then I went back to regular 2h sword (because hammer has that horrible and common movespeed bug atm). Spamming strength or speed potions with the constant wide arcs is absurd. Honestly just always go for the strength potion and even on Champion you'll just blow through anything and keep your HP near max with the level 20 talent selection (Temp HP on Kill).

If I've got friends I can depend on then I use sword and board + strength potion + concentrated brews perk. Seriously, that perk+talent combo redefines how you play Kruber.

was wondering why do I feel so uncomfortable each time I used hammer :< What about trinket stats for 2h? Preferably Crit/attack speed?

Yeah crit / attack speed is just good quality of life. Especially for pub play. Btw Mercenary Kruber is better than huntsman by a mile if you are concerned with melee. Yes huntsman is the ultimate boss shredder but for the rest merc is just so flippin strong.

The halberd is preferable, sword and board can work if you go Foot Squire, but everything pales in comparison.

Made some testing with Halberd vs Mercenary Greatsword and Executioners, and there was a difference of ~ 1000 damage almost every time (Executioner bugged out every once in a while as well, passing straight through enemies).

Coach Gun is preferable as long as you have a sniper, otherwise the automatic one is great if you're either Squire of Mercenary. Longbow can kill boss-mobs in seconds if you're playing Huntsman.

So Tl;dr: Halberd Numero uno, Coach Gun if sniper on team, Longbow if Huntsman and Automatic otherwise.

*edit: The Arming sword can perform oddly well, but haven't used it in harder difficulties since Halberd

>.< I swear to you once you are spamming strength potion with concentrated brew and bloodlust the original damage of the weapon matters none compared to the striking pattern. At which point constant arcing strikes chews through packs like no other. Halberd is fine for raw damage but it's neither here nor there because of the attack pattern (yea you can reset but why bother when you can just play better).

No, really, the ranged focused career is mefiocre in melee? Lol

Playing on Champion, the Halberd seems to be the way to go. Charge attack, block cancel, rinse and repeat. Poke when safe. Carry a blunderbuss for specials as the handguns is usually too slow unless you are good with it. 2h hammer, executioner, 2h sword are okay, too, I'd say.
