How does one play with friends?
Is it possible to invite them and start matchmaking (find random players)?

If they open their friends list, they can right click your name and "join game." Start in the keep and they should be able to join you. This is how me and my friend have been starting games.

good to know but it would be better if you can join your friends in game in addition to joining them from steam in my opinion.
