Since all resources are randomized it will play a little different each time.
Instead you want to grow you book production, your merchants, your money producing buildings, and your trade power.
And while you do that you have a hilarius time watching the AI waste tons of rescources muderring each others peasent armys.
Early wars are high risk hige reward that often only exhaust your finances when you should be snow balling your eco and Knights skills.
The AI will get itself into all kinds of wars, just wait for the opening.
When the AI dont have enough workers to hire new regiments, and their army consist of 7 peasents and a bowman, you go in with your 4 horse, 2inf, 2bow + plus your lord with cav skill and it will be like taking candy from kids.
Wars in this game is won by better lord and units, and access to food, money and recruits, you don’t have that early game
Early wars imo is nothing but a noob trap
