Game crashes on game launch
The game crashes on launch with the following message appearing on the screen: Could not load D:/steamapps/common/Knights of Honor II /Sovereign_Data\StreamingAssets\THQNO\THQNOnline\steam\steam_api64.dll . If anyone knows why this happens I'd be happy to share your opinion.

Hey

Sorry to hear you ran into a issue, have you tried verifying the game files / updating your drivers / restarting the PC? If those fail please refer to the post below.

I reinstalled the game five times, updated all kinds of drivers and the result is the same. I even changed windows, I was with windows 10 and now I installed windows 11 and it shows me the same problem again. At the moment, apparently there are no others like my problem.

Others are experiencing crashes in a slightly different manner since last patch. Your issue may be related, so filling out that bug report so the engineers working on the issue have more data might be very helpful. The more data they have the better.

I will try to send a report. I've never submitted reports before and I hope I can handle it.

Just got the game and was looking for a fun time but, same exact problem as you. Don't worry, you are not alone.

I think I found a solution to my problem. On startup, the game wouldn't launch. I changed the name of the main folder where I install the games. I changed from Cyrillic letters to Latin letters and then reinstalled the game. My game starts up and I've been playing for half an hour so far and haven't had any issues. Hope no new problem appears. Those who have my problem should change the letters of the folder and try. It might work for them. I hope I have been helpful.

Hello, I fixed my problem. I changed the name of my main folder where the games were located. I had written the folder in Cyrillic and changed the letters to Latin and reinstalled the game. I then released it and the game started. I've played about 30 hours now and no problem so far. I even fixed this way another game that didn't want to start and I didn't know where the problem was. Thanks for your attention though.
