Mods and steam workshop
Will this game have the steam workshop feature? Mods are very important for games, as they might really increase their lifespan. Look at mount and blade warband for example. A ten year old game with an active playerbase, mainly because of the mod.

There is multiple questions I would like to ask the developers:

1. Will the game be easily moddable?

2. Will there be a steam workshop? If not, will there at lease be sites where we download
files to modify our games (outside of steam workshops) or an official non steam workshop?

3. Will achievements be affected by mods, like crusader kings?

4. To what extent will the game be moddable?

1. Depends on what you want to mod
2. Not at launch
3. Anything beyond ui, portraits, or sounds probably will disable achievements

If you love mods but want achievements you can also use mods to unlock achievements oddly enough but I think it just kind of does all of them and not the regular way

edit: I've seen it in other games, not sure if someone will do it for this game

Never understood why people care about some obscure Steam 'achievements' which have no purpose except vanity.
Indeed, a workshop is a jewel for any game which is open for modifications. Literally all major middle ages competitors CK and Mount & Blade are great examples.
But in the first place, I am concerned this will only run on Win 10 onward. I do like my Win 7 and decide primarily in favor of buying a game depending on whether it runs there or not.

Some achievement are in-game challenges. It happened to me that those achievement when they are shown, lead you to area or things in game that you had no idea existed and then you just try them out... it is not about vanity . not always.

Well, I think it's dumb, but I think I do understand some of it - some people are "completionists". Just put any random "challenge" or "collection" in front of their face as part of a game and they will HAVE to complete it or otherwise feel unsatisfied for not completing everything within said game. Achievements are not officially part of the game but serve the same purpose.

True.
Hope KOS2 has interesting achievements just like other strategy games

This game needs mods to improve it and as long as there are countries like Korinth in Europe, this is just a joke (has nothing to do with historical accuracy). I will never buy a game without an acess to the workshop. The battles are very boring and bad, the AI ist dumb and the units looks bad. I really hoped this will be a concurrence to Creative Assembly, very disappointing at least...

There are some mods already in Nexus, but i hope more units and mechanics can be added to the game. Like factions having complete rosters. Better Diplomacy and some sort of events like discovering Asia and America, plagues and Age Development.

hey nexus mods has many good mods out already with instructions on how to enable.
Some of them that im using is, Unit expansion (More unique province specific units), realms which basically makes all provinces into independent kingdoms, Family tree expansion.

However there is issue which i hope the devs will solve once steam workshop is opened. which is at the moment you can only use one mod at a time and cannot activate more than one mod. The only way to use more than one mod is to merge the 2 mods but its annoying to say the least as any clash in edited files and the mod wont work as intended

I was surprised at how few have had the achievement of their cleric becoming pope. Should I be on the lookout for pagan rituals here on the forums?

The Byzantine Empire has no need of the Papacy.
