How long is it to 100% the game (and what is there to complete)?
For the sake of keeping it simple, let's imagine that the player is an expert puzzle solver, so he goes through levels pretty damn fast.

To 100% absolutely everything (this game has a big post game), factoring in the above, I would imagine 40 to 50 hours.

Probably like 10-15 hours

I would also say 50-70 hours if you want to complete every puzzle and find all the secrets on your own.

Oh yes and no guides or hints or videos. That would definitely ensure an above 40 hour playtime.

There is one thing that can reduce the time you take and that's not being stubborn and beating other levels if you ever get stuck.

I am assuming that if the player knows every solution so his/her only task is pushing buttons, the reaching 100% time will be 5-8 hours cause my 3rd trial time was 13 hours

For a player who doesn't know the puzzles and isn't speedrunning, another way to reduce in-game time is to take breaks more willingly.

I'll second that, good sleep brings another perspective for solving

It took me 41 hours to finish. I didn't look at any walkthroughs or guides until there were only 3 levels I'd not found (which turned out to be 1 level I'd not found and 1 level on which some of the text is invisible and you have to break text is hidden to see it - which annoyed me because I'd suspected invisible text and run around that level randomly but happened not to hit it and 1 behind a barrier that only opens when you finish that level right).

How does not being stubborn help? Two zones have a level I just can't comprehend. But they will still be there and they will rely on the same trick. If I don't find the trick now, I will stumble upon it later, in a more complicated situation.

Different levels can teach you the same skills through different means. This is especially effective at solving early game stuckage when you're halted by the game's learning curve.

Regardless, this is all about time, it is technically faster to do all of the levels in the order that you find them easy rather than the order that the game presents them in.

If the only levels available to you remaining are levels that you're all simultaneously stuck on with no ideas, that's when you take a break from the game and wait for new insight.

If I followed my own advice from the start, I probably would've beaten this game faster myself. (in in-game time.) But I didn't so I have a couple extra hours more than x equals speed.

I definitely had at least one level that I just started at it for half an hour without touching the controller and then went "Oh" and put the solution in. If you're just counting play time with the game running then you could cut it down a lot by screenshotting levels and closing the game ;) If that's too close to cheating just thinking about them while the game's off would be quicker in game time if not in real time.

If you started a new file today, there would be 15 areas to complete (11 of which give you "flowers" to collect), comprised of 221 levels (some of which need to be completed multiple times in different ways). There are also 3 bonuses to collect, an image gallery you have to solve your way through, and 2 endings which function as alternative solutions to 2 levels.

All told, the game will probably run someone going for a blind 100% playthrough somewhere between 35 and 50 hours and you'll be able to shave off many hours with hints from the community.

Assuming you've already begun playing and finished Bottleneck's EX version before it was removed, the total number of completed levels will be 222.

I've completed the game today (222), it took me 70h without any hints. I was probably at 210-215 within 50h but I had a lot of trouble finding and completing the last levels.

Since everyone is dropping their perspective on the game, it took me a whooping 31 hours to fully 100% the game.
There have been several instances of me idling in a level while I tried to figure out what was I doing.
And just about 2 or 3 times where I had to look up a walkthrough to get through 2 or 3 of the levels.

Mind you, I had some idea of what was I getting into as I played the game jam version before the Steam release.

> What is there to complete?
220 levels, give or take.
You also get to see a few new conjunctions and definitions to play with and suf- enjoy.
