Further Fields is definitely on my list of difficult levels, given it's one of the few levels where you need to intentionally disable the "You" rule/object but with means to re-enable it several turns later.
"A way out?" also seemed quite hard, until I figured out the order of things to do .
Just naming the levels that I haven't solved yet, doesn't really answer the question though.
So in general, I find the levels hardest that are similar to other levels but you have less resources to solve them. That's because I first have to "overcome" the previous solution.
I plan to come back with a definitive list, once I've seen all levels.
1. The step required to find "Whoa" in meta - I really have no ideas for this and have to watch a walk-through video for this
2. Out at Sea - First level including the probably most mind blown mechanism in the game in my opinion even comparing to those messing with the map later on as it's just too out of my mind that text can overlapping each other
3. The Box - Well, I just can't think out of the box, what can I say?
And the rest of the game I am still able to solve by myself or with some hints on keyofw.com, so I think they are still fine for me...relatively
I'd say these levels took the most time:
3. Coronation
2. Floating platforms
1. The Box
if you mean combining TEXT and FLAG using belt and flag, that solution would never came to my mind too. Especially, after got so bered with the BOOBY TRAP level.
when you understand (which you should know by then) that negation is always stronger, coronation is rly easy. you cannot change ROCK IS NOT WIN, so this leaves exactly and only one option. the single IS also further limits down the setup extremely, so, with the rough concept in mind, even then there are only a handful of options which should lead you to victory fairly fast.
-i did, keke and the star quite fast
-furhter fields had its catch, kinda tricky but not the hardest
-not finished pillar work yet, it's surely one of the hardest ones.
-]most of the bonus unlockers require some gymnasitcs to get both, the "win" and the
"level=..."
-elusive condition - took me several tries
-jaywalkers united - kinda hard, since every step from the beginning must be the perfect the entire run (with tiny exception near the end)
-heavy words - took me a few hours i guess
-parade - had the right idea, but i thought it didnt work after failed attwmpt, so i was lost for quite some time, thinking it kinda impossible
-AB - took me really long, several hours - easy when you know it - but not knowing the exact funtion of the "AB"-tile as very hard since you cannot simply try it out without losing controll immediately. also noteworthy "AB-A-B-A-IS-YOU" did NOT count as condition, despite technically including the letters "baba is you" with an "a" infront - but not in distinct tiles - so... hard to figure out imho
-Getting Together - also one of the hardest: getting exta rocks was fine - BUT there is a mechanic thats kinda strange. some internal priorities. you actually NEED to use shift simultanoueasly on text and wall. i was insteat trying to use shift the wall and PUSH the text (also at the same time) - but despite being simultaneous, shift takes precedence and the push does not happen, although i feel it should. (from different directions ofc)
-Queue - took be quite a while to figure out
Hardest levels (for me):
1. PARADE
2. QUEUE
3. BOTTLENECK
4. CORONATION
5. GUARDIANS
6. EVAPORATING RIVER
I didn't say anything below about how to pass these levels. I just put the why I decided this list of levels as the hardest levels in the game for me:
1. PARADE - Definitively PARADE was the hardest level for me until now. I took an entire saturday to beat this level.
2. QUEUE - For me it was so hard because there are a lot of steps and ways you must think to beat. And because this is the first level that introduced NEAR rule with not easy usage for it.
3. BOTTLENECK - I really dont like levels that you must use the EMPTY rule. For this level I took a lot of time to beat too.
4. CORONATION - The SWAP rule for me is one of the hardest rules in the game, so I knew I would get tired in this level too.
5. GUARDIANS - I have problems understand the EMPTY rule sometimes. So, because it, I had to burn my brain to beat this level.
6. EVAPORATING RIVER - This level is not so hard, but a put it in the list because for me this was the first level I could feel the hard side of the game.
The hardest levels for me were:
1. Chasm-Extra 7: Automated Doors.
2. ABC-6: Stardrop.
3. Mountain-Extra 1: The Floatiest Platforms.
4. Cavern-Extra 1: Coronation.
5. Meta-6: One Way Entrance.
Edit: So after almost a month I finally finished Coronation. God, this game is hard sometimes.
