RIP these Brits had to fight the Nazi's below 20 FPS.
I really preciate your Initiative @Periscope, RIP to all fallen Comrades here and there!

My Grandfather fought with our Troops on the southern Part of the Ostfront and on the Balcans in WW2 - just to see his Grandson fighting 50 years later on the same Soil again. You dont fight for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ politics, you fight for your brothers and your own blood. No matter which side - all Soldiers should be remembered!

...and never back!

"La libération" :)
De qui et contre quoi ?
Nous cherchons toujours :)
I recommend reading the book A Bridge Too Far by Cornelious Ryan about this operation, its probably one of the best war books ever
or watching the movie A Bridge Too Far too, since it's also exactly what the game Post Scriptum is about :D
the movie sucks compared to the book
We the Dutch people never forgot their sacrifice...
They probably wouldnt have had to make the sacrifice if they had listened to all the dutch resistance people that tried to help them
Yea, Monty led his troops to their death with poor strategy all because Patton outshined him in Africa/Italy.
It was largly unsuccessful.
Absolutely sickening to see some of the replies on here. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgraceful. As for the post; This is the reason myself and ~ 85% choose to play your title. Keep up the amazing work and dedication.
@Dizzyy, typical comment from someone that probably knows nothing except what Hollywood puts in movies. Monty takes the blame being overall Commander and as it was his plan the burden falls on him, as it should. But It wasnt only one mistake, it was an abundance of mishaps, poor planning, poor execution and poor Generalship (Gavin anyone?).

Oh and Patton was largely a failure, and was a poor Commander of men. Have you ever read anything about his Campaign in Lorraine....... i bet not.
@ Aussie I could care less about hollywood movies. History shows the Market Garden was largely unsuccessful, and poor strategy across the board which ultimately falls on him.

As for Lorraine, i would say the basic argument. Experienced and dug in troops. Pretty much the same reason monty was slow in Normandy. I never said Patton was a saint. As far as im concerned he was out of line many times and should have been relieved. I literally never even said he was a success. I wouldnt say that, because realistically he didnt have many successes. Africa was a joke, and so was Italy. But you cant say he wasnt respected.

Movies or not. It is fact that Monty was equally egotistical. He was a slow strategizer, and basically knowingly sent troops to their death, and failed to tell his own men that they would be fighting a bunch of tanks which is honestly borderline criminal. And again, its because he was outshined by Patton in Sicily.

So essentially, every assumption you made about me, is false.
