I had the error, but when i started the second time it worked
30005 error is a failure to start error. The most common cause is a corrupted EAC install followed by other security programs not allowing EAC to write. When windows released it's Kernal stack protection feature last year for instance it caused a load of 30005's.

If anyone is having trouble , you could remove/rename to .old EasyAntiCheat.sys from its folder, don't delete. This should force it to create a new one and may resolve the issue if it was corrupted.

One of the Devs has linked a possible remedy for the 30005 error issue which he thinks is caused by a Windows update:

https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/c-Category_EpicGamesStore/c-EpicGamesStore_ErrorCodes/eac-driver-error-1275-driver-load-error-in-windows-11-a000085643#:~:text=If%20you%20receive%20a%20driver,by%20following%20the%20steps%20below

At least one player on Discord has resolved the issue by following the directions above and also turning OFF the Memory Integrity option on the same page. Don't forget to reboot after setting these, then relaunch the game.

Please reply if you've once you've tried these two changes and let us know if it helps.

turning off memory integrity alone was enough to get the game to work for me. however, I hope that this interim solution doesn't become a permanent one, as I don't want the security of my expensive PC to be compromised by this.

Hello folks. I'm the player nolaJeff mentioned who fixed the issue by turning off the Memory Integrity option. For now, this is the only known way to get the game running. This is due to Easy Anticheat requiring access to like the deepest cores of the system (so it can deal with cheat software that works on the same security-access level). However, one of my friends mentioned that Microsoft/Windows apparently is working on some changes so that software like Easy Anticheat can get access it requires granted BY the OS, thus making it obsolete to turn the Memory Integrity off. So, in short, Microsoft is working on it.

I actually found another way that worked for me without having to mess with my window settings.

Here is the fix:
1. Restart your computer if you open any games using EasyAntiCheat. The reason is the app remains running in the background and I don't wanna tell y'all how to shut it down through task manager, because y'all might mess up and blame me.
2. Go to the EasyAntiCheat Folder usually in "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat".
3. Delete the "EasyAntiCheat.sys" file.
4. Start your game.

Squad 44 runs on a different EasyAntiCheat compare to Squad and other game engines, so if you have those game installed before Squad 44, the error occurs because for some reason Squad 44 EasyAntiCheat attempts to use the file that was designed for those games without inputting its own codes.

From what I've read it's an issue that Microsoft has to fix with Easy Anti-Cheat

Folks, another possible work-around is to turn off virtualization in your BIOS. See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzOL3iYmXqM
