Game will not launch after 1.3 update

I've been having issues with the game launching since the new 1.3 update, I've only been able to play maybe 4 times since and it's all stemmed from the game not seeming to boot.

Pressing play the Easy Anti-Cheat window comes up, loads and then goes to the secondary window showing, "Squad 44 Letters from the Front" with the Germans in the snow, it then sits there completely idle forever. The times I've been able to play I'd uninstalled all my mods, updated to the newest drivers or just simply slipped past this hangup. Looking through the task manager the secondary window sits in the background doing little.

I've tried so far
- Reinstalling my drivers
- Checking the integrity of the game files
- Uninstall, reinstalling and messing with Easy Anti-Cheat since I read that used to be an issue
- Launched the game direct from the files
- Disabled my firewall
- And sacrificed the neighbours first born

Nothing I have done so far has helped one bit and I'm stumped. My only option now is to uninstall and reinstall the game, all 74 gbs of it and I'd like to avoid that, has anyone experienced this issue since the update or previously and could help me out here, thanks.

Yeah, the same exact thing is happening to me right now. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it with that doing nothing. I've also done all the other steps you've done with no luck either. I even reinstalled my C++ Redistributable, that didn't work either. My game is complete boned and yet for some reason my 2 other buddies hop on with no issues??

I've been having the same problem launching it on Steam, but if you go into the game files and launch it from "Launch Post_Scriptum.exe" for some reason it opens no problem.

Folks, the one thing we tell people to do after major updates is to delete the cache folder!

Looks like you tried everything but that.

Yeah no, that was the first thing I did. It did jack Sh*t, didnt fix or help anything besides get rid of binds.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Appears to be an Easy Anti Cheat issue because I can successfully launch via 'PostScriptum.exe' but 'Launch_PostScriptum.exe' just hangs forever at the launch screen. I can't join any servers via 'PostScriptum.exe because Easy Anti Cheat isn't running. Update looks great, wish I could try it out.

HOW TO RESET CACHE
To manually clear your settings cache open the start menu and type:
%Localappdata% and hit enter
Find the "PostScriptum" folder in the window that pops up and simply delete it.
This will wipe all config settings for the game such as keybinds and video settings.
Now try launching Post Scriptum to see if it has resolved whichever issue you had previously.

Thanks, Wolf. Unfortunately this didn't resolve the issue. Neither has:
1. Validating files
2. Repairing Easy Anti Cheat
3. Reinstalling Easy Anti Cheat

If you are using rivatuner statistics program make sure to not have it on when launching squad44 either set the global detection to none or add squad44.exe and make it to none.

Rtss can cause freezes on many games.

Other is disable every overlays you might be having, discord overlay,amd overlay if ur using amd, nvidia overlay, rivatuner statistics + msi afterburner overlay and steam overlay.

Also if possible add squad 44 + eac on your antivirus exeption list that might be also one reason it hungs.

Hi Reinhart, try deleting game & everthing associated with Post Scriptum. Then do a clean install see if that works.

Hi Huggo. Thanks for the suggestions, no luck though. Guess I'll resort to Wolfs latest recommendation and start from scratch :(

As others mentioned, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help. I'm out of ideas.
