I don't know where people get this mentality that "the game die out again"...??? I can play the game any time I want, there's always servers running and people playing... It might not be hundreds of thousands, but there's always something going on... and it has been like this forever. So what are you talking about really???

That's the Skill of Offworld Industries. With their Patches they kill the Player Base. Noone asked for this crappy FoB and FoB-Radio Spawnsystem from Squad. But they added it to Squad 44 and lot of Players gone. Like lot of Players gone after ICO Update for Squad. This ruins the fun we had with Post Scriptum. FoB-Radios are sensless in S44 cuz maps aren't this big like in Squad! They just do what they want and give a ♥♥♥♥ what the Players want. They kill their own games.

Mercury Arts completely failed to predict the effects their changes to the logi system would have on player retention and seeding difficulty.
They pushed away long time players, leading to inexperienced players incapable of maintaining spawn points, leading to dead servers.

MA got cocky trying to push their new vision for the game down peoples throats and they lost as many players as they gained.

Kind of misleading, i tried to get on last night, it was one full server and a dozen empty ones (or with only a handful of people trying to seed) I LOVE this game, but unless the playerbase gets another slight bump soon, im not sure how long itll last (Ill admit, even casual games like helldivers 2 have pulled me away in recent weeks)

Its heartbreaking to see the more authentic shooters always die off, Beyond The Wire looked really cool but of course its playerbase is nonexistent.

Damn shame this game is suffering the same fate even after its reboot.

IMO they should pivot towards the Pacific. HLL has taken the Western European theatre and as this is a niche game with a small player base competing against each other is silly,

Squad 44 is excellent but I think they should focus on moving theatre.

RO2 had a good run, it came out in 2011! That it was practically dead the last time I fired it up is what lead me here…

Sometimes these games last forever with a hardened cadre of fans. Natural Selection 2 is one, it’s still going with around 250 players. Rising Storm 2 is another. One that’s essentially dead (and for shame, never really took off) is Tannenberg.

Alot of doomposting without seeing overall picture. Its their first freaking patch.

You guys aswell didnt mention that the controversial patch is being tweaked back.

The game itself didnt do good either under previous developers and actually they did worse by not communicating at all.

These new devs actually do communicate in reddit and in discord atleast and they show that they do listen and care about the game.

Dude, The game has 1-2 full servers on the daily if even that.

Denying the games dwindling playerbase is lunacy.
