What is "EAC Kicked: Authentication time out (1/2)"?

So i waited for 15 mins to get on english server and got kicked whit in 30s of match starting due to "EAC Kicked: Authentication time out (1/2)"
What is it and what causes it?

Post Scriptum is a fully released game, there is no bugs. No developer in their sane mind would release a game with bugs that are so critical.




For the record: It's a known bug that I believe Squad have aswell, but nevertheless, bugs like that should be fixed prior to releasing a game...

It's not a developer bug, it's a decision to use EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) that's almost malware itself and works so great in games like Counter Strike.

I believe the issue is caused when the server switches maps while you are in the queue and you join. It has happened to me loads (last night on squad to). I am not sure why but from what I have seen that is the reason.

That or sometimes a file goes missing after an update (or just randomly) and you have to verify files to get that file. (this is if it happens everytime you join a game)

But ya its not a game bug but an EAC bug, hope this helped :)

Nehme es mir nicht übel, jedoch lese ich diese Frage immer wieder. 1 Minute Google und die Lösung wäre da. Ich habe es jetzt nicht mehr genau im Kopf, aber du musst deinen Anticheat neu installieren oder reparieren. Gehe dazu in die Steam-Spieleordner von Post Scriptum. Die sind sehr übersichtlich. Du wirst du sehr schnell EAC als Programm finden. Müsste ein blaues Symbol sein. Doppelklick darauf und dann auf reparieren oder neu installieren klicken. Dann sollte es funktionieren.

Oh lol, I thought u r german bec of ur name.
Have a look into you libary of steam and open the folder of post scriptum. there wont be a lot of different folders. search / look for the programm EAC (.exe) or something like this. should be a blue icon - i guess. double click on it > a window opens > press "repair" or "new install". now it should be working. 1 minute searching on google you would have found this. i had the same issue - i hope im not wrong - some months ago and this was my solution. this worked for others too so i guess it will work for u too :)

maybe now u can give this game a good review again... bugs happen always and shouldnt be always a reason not to recommend a good game. especially when there is a very easy solution.

Was looking for cause since there weren't any straight anwsers but atleast i won't be facing any other problems!
