The real 1919 30 cal verses the one in Post Scriptum
Well guys.... a few of us have noticed the the 30 cal in post scriptum fires wayyy faster than the actual one did. Here is a video of the rate of fire of the actual one: https://youtu.be/Rh0dJaKSfAY

Do you think the devs did this intentionally so that the US machine gun could be a “match” for the mg34 and mv42? Personally I believe it is fitting that the Germans have superior MGs just like in real life. I mean hey, specially since the US has m1 garands. :)
Every other gun seems to have perfect rate of fire...however not sure what is going on The the 30 cal browning.

Here is the one from the game: https://youtu.be/M3VwT_nYUuY
It fires nearly as fast as the mg34.

Minimal if any difference. Its the old nazi imagery argument but in rate of fire mode

It does not fire as fast as the MG34, but the browning we have in the game is the M1919A6 version, not the a1 as seen in your video. It was a fastly upgraded version.
Here is the a6 Versio ... it still has that slow and steady rate of fire: https://youtu.be/kNNaK9ijOGo
Another video of the 1919a6 to show how slow it is: https://youtu.be/LX7YCtvhwhs
According to this it’s rare of fire is around 500rpm. http://modernfirearms.net/en/machineguns/u-s-a-machineguns/browning-m1917-m1919-eng/
I wonder if there is a way to find the official fire rate of the one in game.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Maybe they based it on hollywood style Brownings, the one in Band of Brothers also had a fast rate of fire (2:02) https://youtu.be/szTGXeLk2Jg?t=83

Also, the sounds are a bit bugged as well in the test, maybe thats why it gives the impression it fires fast.

Americans have been out for 8 gameplay hours and wehraboos are already being professional victims. Where's the gun jams?

Play these side by side at their starting points:

Any manual testing and people will come up with their own conclusions.

Let's just wait until they're fully released so we can see for ourselves, but it takes 4 lines of code to determine rate of fire with this engine, the devs aren't that dumb.
Sadly I can’t access their discord site. Can one of you please post this or bring this discussion up? We know the real m1919a6 fires around 450-500 rpm which is actually a slow steady beat. The one in game is definitely closer to 700rpm as Gorlami pointed out. Thanks guys!
