Dual Monitors

I just picked up a second monitor and was wondering if there is a way to have the map or section open on one screen while playing on the other. I'm new to all this stuff so I'm not sure if it's even possible but I thought it would be pretty useful.

Easier to set side mouse button to map than stray your eye to another screen. That said I don’t think you can play with map open at the same time.

currently no and i myself hope its not implemented through mods or something in the future,its about risk management,opening your map can get you killed if your in combat or the like,so i like the current system.
having the map open on a 2nd monitor would be too easy and do away with the need for a compass.

I didn't consider that and I think you make a good point. It would certainly diminish the skill needed to play squad leader if you could see exactly where your guys are at at all times. Thank you for answering my question.

Yeah opening the map should be an in game action rather than a radar you have on at all times like a mini map.
