Server health
How is this rated? I can check a server and it will be red. Refresh the screen and its green.

DOesnt seem to be a very good indicator. Unless ofcourse it stays red, which I havent seen yet. Just wondering how this rating is ascertained (sp?) ?

Servers can set their own TPS, but most use the standard of 50 TPS, which drops as players and assets are added in the game.

No idea, I just go for ping.

The issue is, on the server browser, some servers show up green with a good ping HOWEVER, this is just a snap shot in time when you hit refresh. The truth is often different. 3 of the 6 servers near my area/timezone often show those stats but when you join, they are almost always in the yellow and red with high pings. Its miserable. I leave ASAP and have marked them down as no-go until I see improvements.

People say its the hardware of the servers having a tough time working with this game... I think this is right, Squad had some similar issues but they fixed most of it.

Sombody got an old 286 from his moms basement and set up a server. It is a problem.

And there are no licensed servers for PS yet, not a lot of control sadly.

Ahhh. Thankyou. That makes sense for why it changes so much. I thought it was some kind of janky static rating or something. Probably still advisable to stay away from serves that remain orange and red, or change alot, even after a few refreshes, I guess.

Appreciate the explanantion.

Yes, stay away. Make a note of servers that report green on the browser but operate in yellow/red often and dont go there.
